From what I see, Apple didn’t agree to a backdoor, but instead of pulling out of the UK, they dropped end to end cloud encryption for UK users. If they really cared about privacy, they should’ve pulled out. Now other governments are going to demand the same. How is this a short term win for anyone outside the UK?
