You fail to understand the difference between anonymity and privacy, or are just being purposely obtuse. You can attempt to remain anonymous on a transparent public ledger, but your transactions themselves are never private and is a foot in the door to unraveling your anonymity. You can't see the value in a Monero because it's transaciton values are actually hidden from the blockchain 🥁 Less than 2 cents to transact is not expenisve. A bit ironic coming from a Bitcoin guy where fees were $100+ earlier this year. You can't use cash to transact instantly with anyone on the planet and it suffers from centralized, arbitrary, and unpredictable inflation along with many other disadvantages I could list
