When you log in to websites, do you use HTTP or HTTPS? As I said above, “it’s all bad” is a bad advice.

Complaining that you do not have privacy on internet is like complaining why people look at you when you run naked in a public square plaza and they should respect your privacy.
Wrong question.
Right question: for what are you using internet? For public or private exchange of information ?
If you are still using some private information on internet, are you ready to rebut ANY use of authority over that information ? Because many "peivacy advocates" have no idea how is to rebut the authority in the first place and some of them not even have a concept of that.
