I'm using a rasp pi with a 1tb. It's been good for years and it just doesn't seem to sync. It's not catching up barely making progress

Oh, wait. I think I know what might be wrong. Your 1 TB drive is not adequate for the blockchain and all of the Umbrel software anymore. Youβll need to double that to 2 TB minimum.
Also, because itβs a RasPi, it will take significantly longer to sync than a standard PC because of its underpowered processor.
I know the feeling. Built a new node after this.

if you can live without web ui I recommend ditching the umbrel for dietpi. you can sync the blockchain data on ssd very fast if you plug and mount it into a desktop pc booted from a live debian 12 usb stick. a bit of a learning curve, but can extend your raspi life by years.
