The Simpsons is falling out of the cultural zeitgeist.
Gen Z has barely an idea of it. What does this mean (and for Gen X and elder Millenials nostr:nprofile1qqs8d3c64cayj8canmky0jap0c3fekjpzwsthdhx4cthd4my8c5u47spz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7uewwdhkx6tpdshs0rcqsn ?)
Having a shared reality and narrative is long over IMO. (Its another meta rabbit hole to unpack)
Simpsons was very Gen X. Sardonic, sarcastic, and a bittersweet look at America its self. But optimistically.
Sitcoms had happy endings.
Even cartoon ones.
Maybe it's reflective that it's slipping out of cultural narrative.

I'm Gen X, we're the invisible generation... I was already a teenager when the Simpsons started!
My son loves simpsons. It transcends generations
Glad to hear some kids are finding it still
Woah, just looked it up. The creators are in their 70s and 80s now. It _was_ a Boomer-created cartoon. π€―
Probably, but itβs one of the few things my 6YO autistic daughter will sit down with us and watch. She even understands and laughs at many of the jokes.
This is awesome. So many good episodes
