Good morning! If y'all haven't checked out the latest prototype of #Alexandria, you really should! It is a tremendous leap forward in every metric! There are still some singing issues being worked out (and if you could tell me of your experiences with any hiccups you have with that, I will pass them on), but HOLY CRAP! THIS IS AMAZING! image You get themes, book-forward design, better search, a more cohesive look, comments, highlights and so much more! #GitCit #GitCitadel #library #books #bookstr #otherstuff

And if something is loading, add a spinner or something animated to show the user. I know it's loading because I know nostr, but the average use just see a blank page not working and may navigate away or refresh thinking it's broken before finishing loading.
I, for one, will never, ever support that. I utterly detest any inclusion of any means of "normie friendly" "log ins." That is a hill I will die on. I refuse to use normal wisp because of that, along with a few others, made a big enough stink about it that UTXO capitulated and made dark wisp. I have more to say on the subject, but it is all ranting, so I will stop here.
The stink was that other options were removed. Amber removed from wisp was the stink. Google auth login with pomegranate is great. Something can be normies friendly and also technically good too. I believe pomegranate is. There are 5 people that know what pomegranate is. Everyone knows what Google is. Do you want people to log into your app or not?
> Do you want people to log into your app or not? Much of nostr other stuff doesn't need login tho. So no I often don't want them to log in. I just want a pomegranate whitepaper so I can thoroughly audit it.
That was part of it, but I am still thoroughly 100% opposed to normie logins. I do not want nostr involved with big tech. At all. Every time I see a nostr repo on GitHub I cringe. I *detest* this sort of thing. But I also realise that most times my opinion does not matter, especially since I do not code. 🤣
> Every time I see a nostr repo on GitHub I cringe. Yeah, but it's the only link people click on. If I share a github link to my projects it gets 10x the interaction my website link does. Could I make my website link prettier, sure, but it gets people to actually look at it sometimes. In my case, github is a readonly mirror so its for marketing only.

Google is Epstein class software which has its tentacles spreading too far and wide already. I applaud anyone who rejects it.
