It's not the look of it really, it's like Android wants you to swipe to go back but iOS has a button in app but if you're on the web and swipe back, it may navigate you off the site instead of going back to the previous page. So it looks good on all devices, it's just the IxD (interaction design) is unpredictable and different depending on what you're using.
Granted, right now I am using multiple clients across three devices to see which I like more and to get an idea of note latency, so this is probably not a problem I would run into when I am using the clients normally.
