I've studied the game theory on conventional war.
I've studied some unconventional (although by definition that is very difficult).
I still need to study the updated game theory on nuclear war. I don't think the MAD equilibrium from 40 years ago still holds. There are more players... and there is a lot of new tech in play.

Of course the wisdom from the 1983 movie WarGames still holds:
"The only winning move is not to play".
But... some people might not think the so. Or some AIs.
The Oppenheimer movie ending, with its worries about a delayed chain reaction... is a true concern.
The Wargames solution still works and it will even if chosen at the individual level when put in place in full. Despite it, this simply won't be chosen for the most.
Anyway, for the average rural mud terrain next to industrial area, you can also build today a reasonable 100kt-proof 140mยณ bunker with 5y supplies for less than 80k in quite a few places, though to fully cover -without youtuber luxuries- the 4 pilars -energy, health, sanity and security- for 2 healthy young adults it will go up to 150k, which it's still reasonably cheap imo (terrain price not included though).
Have a good one.
