God is not dead. Death is god. As the microcosmic guardians of decay and decomposition and divinity, the lowly mushroom teaches us that Death is so in love with Life that it will never let it go. This holy marriage is pure and sacred and true and is the spark that Abides deep in the heart of darkness as our eternal home. Death puts a deadline on your time and energy here and now as to hallow and honor the everlasting Present as precious as light and as right as rain. Only Death is brave enough to inspire and coordinate the habitants of Earth to ultimately transcend the eye of their egos and instead finally see through the Overview effect above that knows each body is part of the shared universal body and thus the highest imperative of the infinite game is to avoid the tragedy of the commons on this pale blue dot because it’s all that we’ve got. Death is the common denominator that harmonizes humanity and the cosmos and the uni•verse, serving as our one and only True North and sleepless maestro that attunes ethics and aesthetics as One—sub specie aeternitatis. Don’t Die is a misguided cult of confusion and delusion and illusion. Sillier than Scientology or Mormonism or Unificationism. Make no mistake, expanding healthspan is a noble act, and treating your body like a temple is very much worth our while, but the perpetual denial of death is a spiritual bypassing pathology of the highest order. There is nothing more selfish than worshiping this fear to the bitter end. Spoiler alert: Mother Earth always bats lasts and she always bats 1000. Alas, every soul must eventually ask their inner child what Fate one truly wants to be waiting for them at the end of history and at the foot of their deathbed since all of us are only really left with two choices: • Surrender and Love yourself to Death with a sense of grace and dignity and mystery for the Afterlife and the Great Perhaps when your final breath becomes air… • Or else decry and deny and defy until you die with hubris and humiliation and god-shaped holes in your heart, pulled down unwillingly into the screaming riptide of uncertainty and absurdity and entropy… “The world past, the world to come. Their common transiencies. Above all a knowing deep in the bone that beauty and loss are one.” image
