Yes, and… what people say and what people do differ significantly on products. Revealed preferences tell you a lot about what your product is solving for people, often stuff they’re not even sure how to articulate themselves.

I can appreciate that. If the default is opt-out with the option to opt-in that is more palatable. Currently watching people use polls as some design/ decision signal since the Primal rollout, it is pretty cool. random thought: I do miss the days of instructions or at least tool tips. Make the app better but throw me a bone!
