Around 700 structures have been destroyed and about 65,000 people are under evacuation orders.

I would assume the wind and Distance have a crutial role in the equation of what burns down. It does not seem hugly unlikely to see trees that do not burn down.

When you want to actually fact check it, might look into other reports about it. Unless there is proof of manipulation, rare outcomes are no evidence against it being real.
