Idk and I can't see any reason it would be superior to SimpleX or Session for metadata obfuscation. It's got Nostr integration so that's likely the hype.

yeah but aren't oxchat and keychat all up in that and are much more mature in the development in the nostr side of things. It just seems really inauthentic.
Its got nostr:nprofile1qqspwwwexlwgcrrnwz4zwkze8rq3ncjug8mvgsd96dxx6wzs8ccndmcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsz9mhwden5te0wfjkccte9ec8y6tdv9kzumn9wshszxrhwden5te0ve5kcar9wghxummnw3ezuamfdejj7ekel7y a major Nostr dev working on it. Its easy to assume he's well connected with big Bitcoin and Nostr figures. It goes both ways too, big Nostr figures want to support something from a Nostr dev.
Is there a second implementation of the simplex / session protocol?
The second implementation of Marmot protocol is nostr:nprofile1qqsrgtm763cvepn02aejwp9t8chxnr6jgqg2zyllt9mhqcwcsksjwwqprdmhxue69uhhsmtj9e5hg6r4wf68xamgv4hxjupwv4jj7qg5waehxw309aex2mrp09skymr99ehhyee0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnswf5k6ctv9ehx2ap0vzchvx and has nothing to do with chats, it's about private video sharing to a group of trusted friends, specifically the parents are admins of a group that have full control over who can watch the videos of their kids.
And the marmot integration was vibe codes in a couple days.
I believe this is unique and quite valuable.
