I enjoy a good debate Ben. Polaris HASN'T been stationary, that's the flaw in your premise. 3000 BCE: Thuban was the pole star, not Polaris (Egyptian records prove this). Polaris is currently 0.7° off true north. In 12,000 years, Vega takes over. It's called axial precession, which is a 26,000 year cycle we can measure. Check ancient navigation records yourself. Interesting. Precession is the slight wobble on the earths axis, if I remember correctly. Do you know the names of the pole stars and do they repeat in a cycle?
