Every September 11th, to commemorate the fallen, a bunch of military veterans (and hardcore civilians) attempt this brutal crossfit type challenge called the MURPH.
1 mile run
100 pullups
200 pushups
300 air squats
A final mile run
I was occupied on the day, but today got it done and added a tribute to the late great civil rights leader, Charlie Kirk, a professional acquaintance & ally, to honor his life and service.
Thus, the 9/11 + Charlie MURPH was born.

Every rep and step is documented and there some “Easter Eggs” toward the end if you make it that far.
I tried to do mine somewhat nonstop for added torturous challenge (more honor). This was brutal. All 300 squats nonstop right into the final mile. 🥵 Took exactly 70 minutes but condensed every movement to a ~5 minute motivational video.
Also, it’s supposed to be weighted with a weight vest. I already had a very heavy heart this week and the weight of the world on my chest so no need to actually add the vest this year.
Never forget. 🇺🇸🏙️
Rest in glory, Charlie. 💛💫
