How about this?
1. replace all URLs into URL1, URL2, URL3...
2. translate to another language
3. replace back to the URLs from URL1, URL2, URL3

LLMs don’t follow instructions reliably. It should know not to alter URLs anyway.
i think they mean preprocessing into URL1, not telling the LLM to do that

this is such a good idea and so simple
That's what we already do :)
We change urls to names in the hopes that the AI doesn't translate names, but then some names it just translates, so we have to revert and try without it. 😅
