Is there a Nostr Client where I don't see likes and retweets, only comments and zaps? #asknostr

Yeah that would be great. Loving likes is a vit weird, and I catch myself checking it a Lot, same with reposts. The hope for fame and all that bullshit. If true value is sent, or someone wants to contact me, that's alright, I may read it, otherwise it's just a distraction

It is possible to look forward to the emergence of such a relay. Btw, nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 's lockbox.fiatjaf.com and zapbox.fiatjaf.com are also quite interesting.

You can't stop someone from publishing a note, or tagging you in that note. A "like" on Nostr is just another kind of note with your npub and the event ID tagged in it. There is absolutely nothing that can stop someone else from publishing that note, other than a relay that rejects kind 7 notes. However, that still just means you won't see the note if you are only reading from that relay. It still exists on other relays that did accept it.

I would be fine with someone tagging me or whatever. I just want my client to ignore these kind of messages. Removing the visibility of reposts/likes/boosts and maybe comments less then 10 characters/emojis. I don't care if people still send me those, I just want them not to be displayed. Is there a way to do that or does an app have these options? Why do I not want to see this you may ask? I want my brain to not receive dopamine hits on random times of the day or when posting. Simply "just don't look at it bro" won't cut it. Didnt see the option on the well established clients like #primal #amethyst or nostr:nprofile1qqszpxr0hql8whvk6xyv5hya7yxwd4snur4hu4mg5rctz2ehekkzrvcpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurvv438xarj9e3k7mgpr9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezu7n9vfjkget99e3kcmm4vsq3yamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vg5xqmxe

If I understand what you are looking for, you would rather not have any idea that someone has "liked," boosted, or reposted any of your posts, and even hide other users comments if they are under 10 characters long. I don't think any clients exist with those sorts of options. When considering whether a client might exist that does something you want, it is helpful to think about whether what you're looking for is likely to be desired by a large number of other users, or is it a niche feature that a relatively small amount of people actually would want. Even things where you believe there are plenty of people who would want a certain feature, it is worth considering whether that is a features the developers perceive is desired by the users. In other words, is it something they are being asked for regularly, or is it something they rarely, if ever, see requested? If it falls in the latter category, and I think your idea here would, you will need to either build it for yourself and make it available to those who may want it, or else hire a dev to build it for you, thus incentivizing them to divert their time away from what they perceive more users want.

This would also be possible to achieve with a relay that only accepted certain note kinds, rejecting all the kinds you don't want to see. However, it would need to be the ONLY relay you read from, and it would likely need to pull in the notes you want to see from other relays, since most users probably would not write to it. I don't know of a relay implementation that does this, so you would again need to build it yourself or pay someone to build it for you.

HM good point. I just wait until an AI + human can create me that for a cost that is lower than my willpower to ignore it. Thanks for the insight
