You are using the setting in a wrong way it seems to me, because my own is rock and roll experience You need to disable the trafick of the links and pictures through tor and get the pictures and the links only through VPN. Thats the best safety/usability approuch

I don't want that many relays. Period. End of story. Why is everyone so adamant about me being ok with something I don't want? Im not using the app anymore. Problem solved, and nothing you or anyone can say will convince me having zero control over connecting to that many relays is a good thing. Its about CHOICE. And I choose to not use an app that removes choice.
