Again, using these tools, that we all know about them, is just mental gymnastic and do not solve the real PROBLEM. The problem is that most of content creators are just lazy and do not look for alternatives.
We need to use alternative platforms and boycott YT.
I try to avoid YT as much as I can.

Yes I agree, I watch some content on PeerTube instances (like bitcointv) or Odyssey but it's like a tiny fraction of what is still exculively on YouTube. Even if I skip all these "entertainers" that pretend to inform or educate while they are just promoting shit in reality for some kind of more or less cheap entertainment to the audience (probably a very large part of YouTube today) there are still a few valuable channels that are nowhere else and not willing to make the effort to be someplace else for 5-10% of their audience.
But you are right, at some point we should just boycott every content who is not offering a free alternative (where we could reward them directly with zap or donation). Same like messengers, you can install whatever better alternative, as long as you keep WhatsApp and shit on your phone, people will have zero incentive to move to these alternative that you use on the side.
