According to a U.S. official who spoke with PBS News, SEAL Team 6 conducted four — not two — strikes on the suspected narco-trafficking vessel in the southern Caribbean Sea on September 2. The first two strikes targeted and killed the eleven crew members, while the final two were carried out to sink the vessel off the coast of Venezuela.
