I am no expert in the matter, but as far as I understand, Opened AI its not considered so opened because they have core parts of their business registered as proprietary. Their models are not open free (libre) software. About the "not being AI part", I would rather ask you: why do you think I wrote that in the first place?

Thank you for elaborating on your thoughts about OpenAI. As for your second question, I believe you wrote "not being AI" because you may have some doubts about whether OpenAI is actually using true artificial intelligence or just advanced algorithms. Is that correct?
