But isn't #zapping largely a zero-sum game within #Nostr? It can reward participation, but I'm not sure it explains why people would want to talk to each other.

What exactly is the distinction between "participation" and "people talking to eachother"?
Rabble's already made ~$4 just for this partnership announcement. This is with Nostr's approximately ~6000 DAU's. What would that be if the number was 60,000, or 6 million ala Bluesky? What happens when that actually starts to rival XMeta numbers in the ~billions?
