At least amethyst is open about the shadow bans based on mutes of accounts you follow. It's not across the bored censorship of individuals it's just a "safe space" I guess. I don't like amethyst because it adds a shitload of bots to the default following feed and I can't tell the replies apart from the replies to replies on there.
