I no longer carry a weapon. But felt on the firing range. Def had my moments. There is no longer a reason for me to carry a weapon. Decided it is what it is years ago.
Going in peace ☮️… even with some close calls … has brought me more good than the small amount of harm I’ve had to feel.

I figure I'd rather play nice with people but just because that's my preference doesn't mean it's theirs and only 1 vote is required for SHTF.
Power is a virtue but so is Mercy. If I see a rabid dog attacking a small child, I can put it down safely. Edge cases may be rare but that's kind of the whole point of carrying in the first place.
I can tell you once while out walking at night alone getting some light summer exercise, 2 people were silently persuaded to leave me alone when my situational awareness picked up on them. I bladed and reached in my shirt and just stared at them. They knew and left. Peace through strength probably saved my ass on that one.
It's a tool I hope never to have to use but I'm also a warrior in the Sitting Bull sense of the word. I will protect those who cannot defend themselves, especially the children.
