ahh, the classic tradition of making smorsages.
you know, marshmallow, chocolate, and sausage on a graham cracker. the swiss delight!
Sweet, salty, a bit mushy, and crunchy doesnβt sound bad at all!
ever eaten traditional dutch food? raisins and canned pinapple sections are a common feature in many recipes. plus lots of chilli.
I think so. Like a kerststol?
oh yeah, iirc that involves some kind of sausage. the only one i remember the name of didn't have it, boerkoel. kale and potato and lots of chilli. one of the meals they gave at the winteropvang in amsterdam.
my oma was indonesian. she did a bit of that stuff but more often it was spicy peanut things with stirfry veg and rice. nasi goreng, i think that's called.
I love me a nasi goreng. π€€ I do love indo food.
I met a Dutch ski instructor back home who brought some oliebollen and kerststol to a winter party. They were quite tasty little dough balls with candied fruits inside.
olllibolla hahah. yeah. i've done two christmases in amsterdam. ollibolle and ... what was the dutch word for mulled wine... i can't remember. classic dutch christmas.
Idk but we call it glΓΌhwein
that's the one. lol, reminds me of the slavic word for deaf, glukh
Did you mean to post this with audio?
Nein, I removed the audio
Damn. I always looked forward to your posts last year while skiing. Your music was always killer.
Perhaps you could recommend a few of those electronic beats π
Probably wonβt be posting much of winter wonderland this year because Iβll be full time momming
