Freedom is unfortunately one of the most nebulous and useless measures of all.
Fairness is easier to define. We’ve done it with games since the beginning of time.

So you’re saying that players at the olympics were competing due to the fairness of the Olympic committee and not because of the individuals talents?
fairness can muddy things up easily, one can complain that why should an athlete or a performer get 100k in one night and it’s not fair as I don’t even make 100k in a year
