Many governments will go through the same mistakes that individuals and businesses made over the years:
- shitcoining
- thinking they have to mine
- not being serious about accumulation and self custody of bitcoin

GOOD POINT. PERHAPS THEY'LL LEVER UP OR SEEK YIELD TOO? EVEN AN ACCIDENTAL SOVEREIGN SPECULATIVE ATTACK WOULD BE A DELICIOUS SELF-OWN. POETIC IN SOME WAYS.
The self custody part of this will be interesting to see and likely be missed. No time or drive to really learn the importance of self custody if a bank is holding it for them and allowing them to sleep well at night. Shitcoining should hopefully be a quick lesson. Iβve turned my patience on eco-mode to reserve some for the long road.

BRO, ARE YOU HAVING A STROKE? WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN?
Yeah why would it be different
All part of the process.
They absolutely need to mine or else other states could block their transactions
The only advantage of being a government is that they always can print more money. I canβt do these things when I fuck up or lose my money in shitcoins π
True! But even there, there are limits to how much they can print before facing negative consequences e.g. less people wanting to use their fiat or hold govt debt bags.
I wonder to what extent this 'tempers' their theft/printing
You see that in some countries it does not matter at all π
Governments have a lot less excuses than individuals do for making those kind of mistakes. Especially shitcoining...
Their MASSIVE resources (much of which comes from us) give them the both ability and the responsibility to hire experts who understand the space and can guide them appropriately. The stakes are too high for them to be as irresponsible or naive as a regular Joe getting into "crypto" on the side of his 9-5
Trust me I'm not one to put government on a pedestal... but even if they never meet them, we should hold them to a higher standard. Those who know better should expect/demand better and be careful about making excuses for them!!
Just my two sats π
In many cases, governments are more akin to a predator than a service provider...
masterpiece
Couldn't agree with that more!
BUT... we just accept that? Support them while they shitcoin? (And by shitcoin, I actually mean blatantly prey on the people who trust your name/position, who don't know any better and don't have the time/capacity to learn, who likely don't own a percentage of the wealth you do, whose very interests you're supposed to be looking out for, and who voted you there in the first place)
We make excuses for them? Forgive them? Hell no. I don't accept that, and I can't meet it with apathy. It's pure villainous behaviour.
You're being far too kind to them with this attitude, I think!
