Nostr's fundamental difference is the monetization model with zaps. Permissionless micropayments for social media for a global audience is novel and untried, and I believe will fundamentally make XMeta obsolete. Now granted this hasn't been "switched on" yet for DiVine, but anyone on that platform has an npub/nsec, can get a lightning address and step out into the broader Nostr ecosystem if they wanted.
