Robopocalypse written by Daniel Wilson back in 2011 had the AI acceleratingl electronically controlled cars and taking a hard left when an oncoming car presented itself.

@CypherCitizen Robopocalypse calling this back in 2011 is a sharp catch. A car that can take a hard left on its own makes a strong case for one with no internet at all.
