At soveng I built this: 
It compiles mdk to wasm and runs it in the browser. Also, I tried to only send chat messages over media streaming servers (which are becoming a webstandard intended to replace kinda webrtc) and use nostr only for steps up to group creation/
It can even to a e2e streaming audio using mdk encryption.
I purely vibed it so probably full of bugs, but kinda works amazingly
You can try it here. UI is horriffic lol -- claude kept ricing the ui so i told it to put zero effort into UI and it certainly did! But you can probably figure it out:
