Today I was offered a catering job for the holidays because - allegedly - the hospitality business can not find "qualified" staff willing to work over the holidays.
I was offered β¬12/h. I kindly declined and left.

You get what you pay for. On the other hands restaurants are also squashed by inflation, as prices rise less people visit.

Right? I mean that's cash in hand but we're talking Christmas, New Year etc here. I rather stay home and play computer games with the boys.
That's what people have been saying to me since I got to Germany. Oddly in Spain everything and everyone opens for the holidays - there is money to be made. Then I come to Germany and people go to McDonald's on the 25th because everyone else is closed. It's not the people not spending money.
We didn't get that far. I wasn't gonna waste their or my time.
I'm sure they'll find a 16-17 yr old happy to make a few β¬ instead of partying with their frens.
