Darkest place? Carribean sounds quite sunny to me. π
Have you heard about Cuba's blackouts? π€ͺ
Heard about their old Infrastructure. Is it really that Bad? No lighting during nights?
No electricity during the day, nor the nights. It's worse than you can imagine. But hey, we are alive!
π«£ For how Long? Like whole days one After another?
In some cities, there are only 2 hours of service against 22 without it. Its quite sad. When the whole electric system fails, we can be three-five days in total blackout.
OMG. Thatβs tough! How do you charge your Smartphone for example?
Portable batteries are common, some people also have small generators, and some have solar panels. They're very few, because for the average Cuban these things are very expensive to acquire, but I would say there's a culture of "sharing" things, including a charging port for a cell phone or a flashlight.
