Mixstr vibe code status update: UI design wise I love it! Function wise i'd say of everything it built maybe two things work as I want lol and I already spent $30 on what is effectively an interactive mockup at this point. I really want this desktop client though and its based on an old idea of mine to create one UI that is every other social media distilled into one. I call it Mixstr. Here is the idea: - By default its like Twitter/Facebook, short posts and your usual Nostr feed. There is no global timeline or anything like that, on Nostr that is just a spamfest. You have your encrypted DM's and search and stuff, you know, the basics. - Everything else is a list you define, I don't know what you find valuable in that menu. You do! So go make it! This is where the Mixstr concept comes in. Every list here allows mixed sources. If you want to combine hashtags you can. Want to have it be a DVM? You can. Want it be a DVM and a list of hashtags? You can. Want the timeline of your two favorite nostr people combined and a DVM and a hashtag? You can! - Each list has 4 selectable views: Short form that only lists small posts and has expandable media. Its an old school twitter style thing for if you want dense info without having to scroll a lot before you find what you like. Its long form which is your usual facebook style timeline where posts are shown in full including a few replies. There is Media which is your Instagram/Youtube style gallery. And then there is Audio which acts as an audio player so you can pick things for your playlist soundcloud style. Very much a mockup though, and its expensive to build for me with how often I have to tell the AI to do it better. If people are interested in me building this further I could put this on github properly and accept contributions to turn it from mockup to proper client. And yes, the idea is that its 100% browser based. No backend so its easy to host by anyone and can potentially be turned into a tauri app.
