Luzius Meisser is one of the founding fathers of the BAS. He's currently pushing an initiative for the Swiss National Bank to hold Bitcoin as a reserve currency. He’s also on the board of Bitcoin Suisse—a good guy, but unfortunately, from a Bitcoiner’s perspective, he’s slightly veered off the path (with projects like FrankenCoin and Bitcoin Suisse trading staked ETH, etc.).
As for the current board, there’s a lack of consensus on the direction of the BAS. Our goal is to elect a new board comprised of genuine Bitcoiners, so we can clearly establish in Switzerland that Bitcoin != Crypto. We aim to provide neutral information about Bitcoin to media, politicians, and business partners. Personally, making this distinction crystal clear is my top priority.
It's not so much that they completely change directions. We want to move forward. The founding statutes states: Art. 1 Objective
(1) Objective of the Association is to promote digital currencies.
This was ok in 2013. But is one example what needs to be updated.
