#bitcoin #nostr note of the day ... Bitcoin's ledger is globally accessible and immutable. It will carry the record of every transaction for as long as Bitcoin is still operational. It is inaccurate to say Bitcoin is anonymous, as it is rather pseudonymous. ... When it comes to anonymity, it is useful to think of Bitcoin as being as anonymous as the Internet: it depends on how well you hide, and how well the others look. ... Bitcoin's blockchain is not ideal for privacy. - The Bitcoin Standard G'daystr! 😁

Privacy is an interesting topic. #Bitcoin doesn't provide perfect Privacy. But I came to the conclusion I don't always want Money to be prefect private. If I send money online to someone I want to know who I send it to and proof I send and the amount. Especially with Bitcoin being a final settlement. Next I think Bitcoin can provide decent Privacy. And as far as I'm aware a lot of times Bitcoin does and if not I switch to LN to provide all privacy I need. If we care so much about Privacy why do most of use the fiat system and all other services and tools that virtually kills every bit of possible Privacy ? And lastly, even if we have perfect Privacy that still won't protect us against Government overreach/abuse ?
