Online there might be plenty of people I'd follow, but only like 8 of them I'd really interact with. Then through their posts I'd meet other people and our circle would expand a bit.
My social media experience was always like an apartment building experience. You knew maybe a handful of people on your floor. That's it.
Overtime maybe you met other remembers tenants of the building through them. Some would be great friends too or they'd be people you were pleasant with, enjoyed at least saying hi when you walked past them.
