It's true value for things you care about. Also maybe you do a few cents, but I've shared dollars on Nostr. Sent value to people in foreign countries, zapped content that I enjoyed and wanted to tip the creator real value, not just an ego stroke.

Check the 1971 Nixon shock chart. Your 50 cents today buys 2015 groceries at a fraction of the rate. Fiat decay is silent. Lightning payment is the only remaining ledger of actual purchasing power preservation.
