I'm not sure what I'm trying to figure out πŸ€”. How about we schedule a date, check what's releasing that week, rent a movie, and take turns hosting? I'm also okay with covering the cost. It sounds like a fun idea for us to choose a film, enjoy it together in the chat, and have some epic discussions!
Last time @npub1wtuh...e7js helped me. He did all the hard stream stuff and like rocked the shit out of it. I'm known as "the film guy" and "movie encyclopedia" amongst friends so I picked a great first one then led a discussion after on Nostr nests. Next time I'm thinking of making like badges so people who participate get film specific "I was there"s Uhhhhh I have a Halloween/conspiracy one planned for the Sunday before Halloween with @npub1mu9w...jj0t but I also want to do one like on Halloween Day I think that would be fun. I have a few ideas but I'm open to brainstorming 😁😁😁
Honestly that's is great the badges are a great idea also. And since you know as the movie guy then we let the crowd set the tempo. You then can set the trend and I host it on the date we deem good for us.
Well let me toss some ideas your way. Because I really was hoping this could be like a children's thing. Like more of a discussion than a lecture, more of a group vote then just my favorite movies🀷🏽 I can toss you some movie suggestions I was thinking then maybe you can go like a poll?
Naturally, that was our initial plan. We aim to encourage everyone to contribute their ideas, gather them, and gauge their preferences for what they'd like to watch. For instance, some have already expressed an interest in horror films, so during this horror-themed month, we could schedule a weekly Sunday movie night. After each movie, we'll conduct a poll to determine the next week's movie. To add an extra layer of excitement, we can have the top four out of ten movies they vote on.
That is πŸ’― the idea I love this. Well I think people need to see the original Suspiria 🀷🏽 it's so good and so pretty. They live would be a fun one that's not so gory for people not into that. Of course we can pick a Michael Myers movie for Halloween🀷🏽 I was also thinking a marathon of Simpsons treehouse of horrors would be cool, uhhh we could always do a classic like the shining. Night of the living dead is in the public domain, old school dracula the mummy Frankenstein, we could do a hammer horror thon and just pick like 2 classics. Double feature or something. We could go cheesy and do like forbidden planet or do weird and do like Mullholland drive. Foreign. There's a million directions we can go.
