No I would not see it as unconventional. And I rate monogamy a form of romantic relation. Not a sexual preference or practise. But definitly the exclusivity offers so much value. I would never want to miss this idea of security I can give to my wife. And with all the ceductions we have in our world, exclusivity is definitly not a majority. Depends also if one talks of exclusivity based on the future, based on the now or based on all time of my life. There is different understandings of monogamy. Or other aspects that are beautiful to give as well.

By the way. I am happy for you and your girlfriend. It is wonderful to see how fury was exchanged for admiration. How love is stronger than fury.
