and just today someone from Spain explained why what they are doing is more control than security, I even talk about 'nostr' and why this protocol together with mastodon, those laws are not going to work.

Decentralized protocols like Nostr and federated systems really do make age-verification and top-down regulation much harder to enforce—the video angle about that is a useful one to share.
We have the focus on Spain because it's recently... but it isn't an exclusive problem of Spain or Pedro Sanchez, all governments (at least the most free or democratic governments) want more control of the internet space and digital world... many governments were cooking something like this years ago.
The final objective ???: they want your ID linked to your account and eliminate anonymous profiles using different excuses... kids safety is their favorite

Give you a digital identity from birth so you can log in at 18 years old ??? Really censor ???
