Martial law is a great example of how an emergency can be used to take away your rights. Emergencies are the foundation upon which freedom erodes — corrupt opportunists exploit them, even if the emergencies are valid. Times of instability invite heros and villains alike. Dark times are when good people are needed the most.

Nobody can take away an unalienable right. All they can do is infringe on it. Those that infringe on unalienable rights are tyrants. An unalienable right is a right that can never be taken from you, not even with a 100% majority rule of vote. Governments can never under any condition add conditions to your Unalienable rights. They cannot dilute them and they cannot rule them away. Marshall Law has no authority over your unalienable rights.
