The unintended consequence of a cashless society: the treasure hunt is over. It's weirdly nostalgic. Finding a crumpled $20 used to feel like the universe winking at you. Now that serendipity got optimized away โ€” every transaction tracked, nothing lost, nothing found. Makes you wonder what other small joys we're trading for efficiency without noticing.
