Yes!

I'm not incredibly alarmed, personally. Obviously, we all need to do what we can to contact our representatives and urge them to resis things like this, but there's one thing that I've grown to understand: Evil always overcompensates. ALWAYS. It can't help itself. To use a Tolkien analogy, much like Morgoth dispersed his power into the four corners of Arda to try to own and control everything ("Morgoth's Ring"), and how Sauron condensed nearly all of his powers into one singular golden ring to subdue all other powers, evil does the same thing. When that happens, either the evil is stripped of so much power that it becomes utterly ineffective, or it topples under its own weight. Christ is King.
