Like or despise Elon Musk, it’s refreshing to see someone doing meaningful stuff with his wealth like a true capitalist would, rather than hoarding and talking like so many others.

That’s a way to see it, but for me what he is doing is a business move to extend his wealth and power.

Musk strikes me as being honest and not living in any way near the extent of his means. He is practically the king of earth, and likely Mars someday, but as all good kings that last do, he cares for his people first. Starlink is literally changing the lives of millions of people every day.

I think hoarding wealth in any form is economically destructive and counterproductive. Buy a tool you have the skills to use. Buy some land. Employ someone. Don’t be Smaug.

We do need a currency. Volatility is opportunity. Listen, buy in, get out. Make profit. Stack SATS. Buy a tractor. 😁

Sorry but my opinion is far away from yours, and one day in the past i was thinking like you, but it’s ok to have different opinions. I was a big fan off him, I read his biography, but some thing’s doesn’t seems to be true their. He is a marketing genius, but he lies to his fans, and who does that doesn’t have my respect.

I appreciate your opinion, mine is certainly fluid and I’ll look into reading that biography! Thanks!
Hoarding wealth is only destructive (both for the person and the society) when doing it in fiat currencies, as it basically sponsors all the government destruction. When you hold value in Bitcoin you benefit all the other low time preference bitcoin holders by supporting the value of their savings. Obviously, I agree that you need to spend on necessities and set up your life in the first place. But when you compare Elon gov sponsored gimmicks vs BTC hoarding, the latter is way more beneficial overall.

Good point about supporting the value of BTC by holding it. I think you can effectively increase the value of BTC by using it.

I agree, but I don’t see a downside to reasonable profiteering off of stupid pump and dump bullshit schemes. I don’t and won’t actively promote or use Shitcoins outside of profit functions. A Ponzi scheme requires unethical selling to cover your own liabilities, what I’m doing is different, yes?

Yeah, you’re probably right, it’s just my scarcity ridden youth and the psychological damage done driving avarice. I probably shouldn’t invest in petroleum producers either, but I know we’ll stay on that path until we’re all choking. The moral dilemma, between a sure winner and an ethical position. Stock in Coca-Cola anyone?
Yea that’s one major problem with the fiat system. “Voting” with your money should always be an option. But because it’s impossible to save cash for retirement, we have to dump money into a financial system that allocates it toward things we may disagree with

What?! The huge, luxurious, casinos in Las Vegas weren’t paid for with tax payer dollars for the people’s enjoyment?! Lol. Spot on, value for value.

all powerful people talk nice. But dont forget the moves he is making in the AI sector. He told us he was scared of it. Now he actively develops one to litterally outnumber humanity as he said himself.

What a person talks means nothing if the actions goes in opposite direction 👌🏼

Likely humanity is creating a monster that will end us, but like biological weapons, powerful nation states will find some backwater republic to manufacture them in even though we all know they’re a really bad idea. COVID? Ukraine? Yep.
