As a woman who was pregnant, in my early pregnancy the smell and sight of meat along with other foods I ate before pregnancy made me throw up. I threw up because people were talking about eating pizza... I wasn't brainwashed by social media because I wasn't on it or watching the news. When I was almost to my due date, I craved rare steak and ate meat just fine. Pregnancy hormones do strange things to women's bodies and everybody is different. I'm not advocating eating vegan, I eat plenty of meat, but I am saying that pregnant women are strange creatures and should eat whatever food will stay in their body to grow a baby and mind over matter doesn't work in that situation.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I was talking about women in general in that post, although it wasn’t exactly clear so I can understand why you assumed that. I was thinking about some girls that I know who are disgusted by red meat and need to eat it well done.
I asked if his wife ate fruit and other things like organs because I imagine she would crave some other foods that her body needs. Like if she craves sweets in the first trimester, her body might need more glucose for energy to prepare for the baby. So fruit would be a good healthy thing to eat. I definitely think those cravings are natural and they should be listened to as long as you’re satisfying them with natural foods.
Agreed, your body will tell you what it needs and you should definitely listen to it. It's so hard to feel the nuance in text, this is just one of the things that hits hard for me. I would think to myself how dumb my body was being while I was pregnant and mad at the same time that my husband was eating the things I wanted to eat 😂.
