Red Team is an effort to make it appear that all the software in Bitcoin is riddled with bugs. As I said, most of what they'll turn up is inconsequential.
It is happening in parallel with an obvious state-level attack against sovereign hodlers (Coldcard users, Lightning users, BTCPay Server users) seeking to 6102 as many bitcoins as possible.
The former is a coordinated tactic to obfuscate the latter.

You don't think Coldcard was incompetence?
State level attack theory is bullish.
Did people really think they are going to just give up their sovereign bond/debt markets just like that?
get some sleep, tomorrow is a big day
It was definitely incompetence and hubris.
Mechanic just needs a rallying cry.
It was definitely more than incompetence. Mechanic has been the voice of reason for years while you lot kept ignoring the obvious.

Ah yeah, how could I forget the hubris. Seems like a good example of Hanlon's razor.
I pointed all my miners to OCEAN 🌊
Most of our software is riddled with bugs. And it doesn't matter if they find 10 million bugs that result in zero funds lost. If they find just 1, just 1, the efforts are worth it to save the life savings of hard working people that are just trying to make their lives better.
Yeah most bugs are not a real concern in the same way that forcing BIP-110 on everyone is.
Shame on the BIP-110 community!
Ten31 invested in coldcard, no? Also invested in a lot of the companies of people on this so called red team, no? weird.
Did they put a gun to your head and make you change your node implementation?
Sly roundabout way m’er f’ers
Think you are correct here mate.
Same feeling about this ReD TeAm.

Says the guy working for the mining pool coordinating a sybil attack on Bitcoin.
No they just said mean things to me on the internet!!! 😫
Rob Hamilton, NVK, Odell, Calle.
How are people falling for these grifters?
They all know each other in real life, they are all funded by the same fake charity (opensats) that's used to funnel money away from open source projects and protect corporate monopolies
State-level attacks on sovereignty mirror attacks on our health, both seek control.
What’s wrong with people finding and fixing bugs?
unfortunately they will get a lot of success.
people are inherently spineless in my experience, talk a big game until the real pressure comes on.
as states move against bitcoin most people will just give up because it got hard.
I've always viewed btc as an underground currency to opt out of the system, it will never replace the system.
I wouldn't think so. security of keys has always been the most vital aspect of self storage, so you're suggesting Coldcard just accidentally fucked up the most fundamental principle to their entire business? yeah.....nah.
It’s certainly possible (maybe likely, even) that these have been state-sponsored attacks, but I haven’t seen anything to convince me that it’s “obviously” the case
All of what you said rests on the fact that bitcoin remains as money.
Lightning itself is also an obvious state-level attack against sovereign hodlers though
Has none of the bitcoin been deposited to exchanges?
The more you chirp the more it’s obvious you really don’t care about Bitcoin
how? because it lowers the transaction volume and makes surveillance harder?
Wtf are you talking about?
What connection do you think you see between transaction volume and state attacks?
And Monero is the one that makes surveillance harder
well, how about you explain your argument that lightning is a state level attack? if there is one guy in the bitcoin influencer sphere who doesn't have all the marks of mossad it's one of its coinventors. he is not very visible these days so much i forget his name. Antonopolous.
lightning uses source routed onions, in case you didn't know. that means that it's like tor in that traffic that moves around the only data point any malicious surveillance node can capture is the size of the transaction. the endpoints can't be determined without over 50% of the network being controlled by a single entity or an entity with access to the real time routing data going on (i'm a distributed systems specialist, that level of centralisation of a decentralised network is basically as impossible as cracking a bitcoin key with a super computer).
lightning takes transaction volume off the main chain, where you moneros are supposed to be hating on bitcoin for having UTXOs without amount/address obfuscation. that means that not only can you not surveil the transaction activity, there is no permanent record except for malicious nodes that are attempting the previous attack which as i point out, is a weak correlation data source (you only get amounts, not endpoints).
so, with all that in mind, do you have a rational, technical argument for how a state level attacker would benefit from these two properties of lightning?
didn't think so. all you got is "muh ring signatures". if bitcoin had bulletproofs based CTs you would have address AND amount privacy just like monero, if you want to pay the fees for a kilobyte sized transaction. and i've got it in my roadmap to implement after i rustle up support for a schnorr transaction type, pay to schnorr public key hash, which delivers the thing that taproot doesn't: quantum resistance denying ethereum like scripting bullshit.
Usually you are not running around and screaming that you are finding and fixing bugs, before you found and fixed the bugs....
Do those absurd allegations and the fact that just before the fork you stopped shilling it hint at capitulation, or will the Knotzi leaders push their people into the final slaughter like their ideological gurus did in 1945?
Ethnically Jewish decentralized financial network.
They are the countervailing force to Bitcoin.
Wait... Who exactly is a "sovereign hodler"? 😂
It's very similar to the [2008 Debian weak SSH key generation bug](https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2008-0166). In both cases keys were created with insufficient entropy because the developers got error messages they didn't understand and ended up trying to "fix" these errors.
If trying to get support and help then it is helpful
I've explained a million times, learn to follow my posts.
Lightning cannot be self-custodied and is designed to promote third party custody.
Also hilarious for you to talk about "one guy in the bitcoin influencer sphere who doesn't have all the marks of mossad" when you never mention Gaza and last I checked you thought it was a non-issue. I'm not reading all that shit past that
U really think hacks to LSPs, coldcard, and btc payserver all in one week before bip 110 activation is all a coincidence? The red team has recovered 0% of peoples funds and they refuse to suggest turning off RBF which is how many people are getting their funds stolen right now. They would rather run their sideshow instead of suggest they do something real that would save funds. Why aren't they suggesting to turn off RBF? Because you can't with Core and need to run knots to do it.
My concern is sparrow. Isn’t that an MIT project? Has any meaningful Jew/feds have their hand in that?
They scanned BTCPay server a day before the exploit. If that's not interesting timing, they're just useless.
I did. Certainly seems like this was more than just negligence, but I still don’t see evidence that it was state-sponsored
