GM One of the most important things you can be doing if you are less technical is continue to advocate HEAVILY AND LOUDLY for FOSS freedoms, including 3d printing, local machine rights, the right to strong encryption, and individual hardware sovereignty I don’t consider myself a dev, more of a voluntaryist power user but I can tell you the pressure of it all has never felt more heavy The public is super frightened by advancements in AI, the governments know they’ve already lost power and are in a slow unwinding, and the mafia players want to buy up all the FOSS devs as fast as possible to retain the little power that will be available through funding and dark nets This puts every single developer in a tough spot… it’s scary to date, it’s scary to talk, it’s scary to build, and yet we must keep our local communities strong by staying level with other power players (ie, Americans must keep america strong, Iran must keep Iran strong, etc etc) 3d printers are going to be the major attack vector (they have been but this is going to ramp way up) because they offer the most sovereignty possible in the market right now Programs like OpenSCAD are incredibly important to maintain and protect
