I have been listening to the Catechism in a Year podcast. i appreciate how smart people through time collaborated on this body of work.
I suppose other affiliations may have less history/ easier ways to go off the rails.
for example, stances on Israel/Palestine conflict or marriage vary between other churches whereas this ancient body of work isn't going to be changed as easily to accomodate the flavor of the day.
it's a longer time chain, maybe?
i also appreciate the decentralization aspect of all the other flavors of churches.

Lindy, yeah. The Orthodox are also lindy, so they're both in trend.

I like to think of Catholics as the centralized version of Orthodox haha
