How can we use nostr to pirate/siphon resources from fiat-land while simultaneously boosting our signal?
Can we use Instagram as a blossom server?
Is there someway to livestream using FB servers and pirate it to zap stream?
Zip backups and store on github to backup grasp servers?
We can use loom and hive for CICD on nostr, but can we use both our own servers and github actions?
Trying to think through ways to utilize their compute and storage while building here.

On streaming
1. Use liquidsoap to make 24/7 Nostr TV stations or lo-fi(no good)-style music streams
2. Use streamlink to extract HLS URL from Kick, Twitch, et al and syndicate it to a Nostr 30311
Many such "adversarial interoperability"
If those platforms can count each usage as a "hit", it'll help them more than it hurts.
On a related note, check out @Movie Archive ๐ฌ๐ฟ
Hmm, I never heard of liquidsoap. I had previously tried streaming media via obs and the results weren't what I wanted. I'm going to look into this ๐
Mate it's pretty good. I had Claude build me a tv channel from a folder of MP4s. It's pretty much "put the media in a folder and docker up". Plan to host a few channels at some point.
Do it!
Yeah I already had a chat with AI about it. The scripting language looks pretty simple. Weekend project time ๐
I will promo it on Shosho!
I should have some time to play around tomorrow, I'll tag you once I have it up and running.
Nostr needs more old Adult Swim cartoons ๐
Have you tried plugging in twitch as a server on sho sho
What would you like to do?
Multi-stream to both Nostr and Twitch with a combined chat, or
Pull in other Twitch streams to Nostr as events, or
Something else?
Stream to twitch for reliability, broadcast nostr event and the chat event. So stream is on twitch servers but all the usual nostr features in clients exist
Nothing stops Nostr streaming from being reliable in itself, only willingness of us to use well established reliable infra. This is the goal with Shosho, esp the new Shosho Server, and I hope it catches on.
The tricky part with Twitch (and similar platforms) is they try very hard to prevent you from watching their feeds on other platforms, so if you would stream to Twitch servers you would have to watch the stream on Twitch, or else introduce hacky workarounds like Streamlink to get the stream out into your Nostr client.
You could do that already if you like in one of two ways.
1. Stream from Shosho to Restream.io or similar that will restream to a Nostr streaming server and also Twitch, or
2. Pull the HLS link from a Twitch page and rebroadcast it as a Nostr event (albeit a bit hacky, as I've said).
So you think your server could handle 100k simultaneously users?
I know that isn't the case now, but that's my motive for the post
I haven't tested it to that level yet
But
I am using CloudFlare Stream
