Natalie and I were fortunate to be able to traverse the Bitcoin Alpha UNconference sessions —this weekend in Santa Monica—and be in two places at once(!)…so it was a joy to hear what she learned in the BTC Legacy Planning chat. Thank you to Thomas Young for sharing such meaningful insights on legacy planning from both the heart and the mind. We agree. Also, legacy lives in the stories we pass on to the generations who will continue to lead. I can see this alignment with storytelling, and appreciated the sessions with @proofofshannon, @Terence Michael , and @Lauren Sieckmann for highlighting this truth. Lauren’s movie UNBANKED is a necessary piece in educating, it will be on Amazon Prime so make sure to look out for it. A conversation I shared with @Adrian resonated how essential empathy is in carrying legacy forward. Bitcoin needs more of this and I’m excited to see how artists and creatives continue to shape its story. Natalie and I have been gathering legacy nuggets from other families for about a decade now … I’ll share one now that touched my heart. One takeaway: ⚡️ WHAT? The importance of our own personal familial stories that which resonate beyond the self and are shared consistently. ⚡️ HOW? One way I have heard that is pretty cute to help guide this process is to have a PUFR (said “puffer”). A Pop-Up Family Reunion. ⚡️WHY?
