The LLMs we are widely using now are being called AI for marketing purposes, but we do not have true AI at all, unknown how and when if ever will happen. How we will know when? In theory we could use the Turing Test, proposed by Alan Turing in 1950, evaluates a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from that of a human. While some AI systems have demonstrated impressive conversational abilities and can sometimes fool judges in limited contexts, these instances do not equate to genuine understanding or consciousness. The key aspect of the Turing Test is that the questions should be open-ended enough to allow for a range of responses, enabling the evaluator to assess the conversational abilities of both the machine and the human. The goal is to determine whether the evaluator can reliably distinguish between the two based on their responses. #AI #LLM
